The location and specifications of these connections differ between manufacturers. Installation Perspective: Midmark is the most contractor-friendly equipment I install. The rough-in tolerances are the most forgiving of any major brand, which is a real advantage when working in older NYC and Westchester buildings where existing plumbing isn’t perfectly positioned. Components are the most accessible for service — you don’t need to disassemble half the chair to reach a valve. Installation Perspective: Dentsply Sirona chairs require more planning during the rough-in phase because of their digital integration. You’re not just running water and air — you need to plan for data connections, additional electrical circuits for integrated screens and digital systems, and sometimes network infrastructure that connects the chair to the practice’s CAD/CAM workflow.
