This growing dental practice needed an additional treatment room but had no extra square footage to build out. We identified the doctor’s private office as the ideal candidate for conversion and engineered additional space by moving the left wall 10 inches into the adjacent mechanical room.

The adjacent bathroom was reduced in size and reconfigured to ADA-compliant dimensions, freeing up more usable space for the new operatory. New plumbing was roughed in for the dental chair and cuspidor, with all lines tied into the existing mechanical system. A dedicated electrical circuit was added on a separate breaker in the main panel to support the dental chair, overhead light, and imaging equipment. The space was finished with a wall-mounted TV bracket for patient comfort, clean baseboards, fresh paint, and the existing hardwood flooring preserved.

This dental practice needed a complete operatory reconfiguration to improve workflow and create more space for the doctor. The existing layout had the dental chair, X-ray, and wet sink in positions that limited efficiency. The right wall of the operatory was demolished, the dental chair was relocated 2 feet forward with new plumbing via concrete cutting, and the X-ray unit was moved from the left wall to the back wall.

The wet cabinet and sink were also relocated to the back wall with new plumbing runs. An adjacent room was converted into a closet with a new partition wall built at the right side of the window, complete with closet doors and finished trim. HVAC and lighting were relocated to accommodate the new wall. The entire project — including concrete cutting, plumbing, electrical, framing, drywall, flooring, and equipment reconnection — was completed in just 10 business days.
